Tempted,
the feeling I would describe when I heard the announcement of the King's new book today.
When the King and Queen came to Sabah last year during 'Kembara Kenali Borneo' (Get to Know Borneo Tour), everyone here was so overjoyed and elated.
I remembered lots of unexpected incidents happening.
I'm sure you would too if you are Malaysian.
When that one guy greeted the King as "Pakcik Agong" (uncle King) and one lady called the Queen as "Datin Permaisuri" (Sir (but for female) Queen), it made headlines all across the country.
Haha.
The audacity of my people to be so ungracious and unmannerly to the highest of the highest persons in Malaysia.
That's funny and very bold of us.
But, what did His majesty say about it? He said that we were friendly, pleasing and that Sabahan people will remain in his heart forever.
What a way to captivate our hearts don't you think? That's truly a warmhearted way to repay our graceless and substandard manner.
Even before that, several years ago, Her majesty the queen already captured my heart when I watched a video of her cooking nasi goreng butter (butter fried rice) in the palace.
Like, what now??
Had I been the queen, I unquestionable without a doubt would never hold any cooking utensils my whole life. My hatred towards cooking is very real. If I had a list of activities I wish I could eliminate without consequences, cooking would be pretty high on the list.
You spend hours in the kitchen with sweats on your skin, only to gobble the food down in a matter of minutes. And to do this every single day, that is almost madness to me.
Now to think that the very Queen of Malaysia, that practically has everything on her hands, that can ask for any food she ever wanted, would be so cool to come to the kitchen and cook alongside the royal chef??
That is so refreshing and humbling to watch.

So, realising that there is a book about Yang di-Pertuan Agong, I knew I had to read it.
The book is called;-
Test of a King.
Written by Abdul Rahman Putra Taha and Zulharry Abdul Rashid
The principal text is only 51 pages. So I would say it is a short book.
And its free. Non-fiction free book.
This is the link if you are interested. It is downloadable.
I have no idea if I can finish this book soon enough though.
These days, my routine is so unpredictable I can't really foresee much. I slept in the morning, woke up mid day and did things at dawn.
It is super chaotic and my life is in disarray.
But do cheer me on pretty please :)
Let's see how long I will take to finish it.
I might not finish it at all, who knows.
But hey, that's life. It is what it is.
Anyway, I see you when I see you.
Dila.
: Update! I finished reading the book and did it in 3 sittings only.
Enliven my blog with your comments :)
